The spirit of inquiry comes from the heart.
Where it lives there's no need to force it.
Where it's dead there's no way to argue it
into being -- it demands an external shock
or an internal quake, a sense of anharmony
to kick-start it back to the realm of life.
But don't underestimate the persistence of
a static status quo to insulate its static
atmospherics from all hope of resuscitance,
by all the available routines of authority,
parochial isolation, not to say xenophobia.

 1.  When we say that "P originated the Q-theory of R", the phrase Q

     should be one that P actually used, characteristically and as

     a matter of principle, to describe P's theory of R.

     P's theory of R as a T-theory of R, then we should say that
